About
Calendar automation should be predictable.
Heldrey is a deterministic automation layer for Google Calendar.
It lets you define how your calendar should behave — yourself or through an AI assistant — and keeps those rules running whenever your calendar changes.
Google Calendar stays your calendar and your system of record. Heldrey works quietly on top of it.
Why we built Heldrey
Calendars contain a lot of repeated behavior.
Make client meetings blue. Add time after external calls. Protect time for travel. Keep personal appointments private while blocking the time on a work calendar. Hold a slot while an invitation is waiting for a response.
These are simple preferences, but maintaining them manually is repetitive.
AI assistants make it much easier to express what you want. But once a preference is understood, an AI model shouldn’t need to keep inspecting your calendar and performing the same predictable action again and again.
That’s the role Heldrey is designed to fill.
AI can understand the intent. Heldrey keeps the rule running.
A different approach to automation
Heldrey is built around deterministic rules.
When the same conditions occur, the configured action should happen predictably. When Heldrey changes something, you should be able to understand why. And when a situation requires judgment rather than a rule, Heldrey should leave that judgment to you instead of guessing.
That’s why Heldrey includes controls such as Preview, Activity, Undo and Needs Attention alongside its automations.
The goal isn’t to make your calendar autonomous.
The goal is to make the repetitive parts automatic while keeping you in control.
Built for humans and AI assistants
You can create and manage Heldrey rules directly through the product’s visual interface.
Or you can let a compatible AI assistant configure Heldrey through MCP. The assistant can understand a request such as “make external meetings blue and leave 15 minutes afterward,” translate it into a rule, and then move on.
Heldrey stores and executes the persistent behavior without requiring an AI model to remain in the execution loop.
This separation is deliberate: use AI where interpretation is useful, and deterministic software where predictability is useful.
Google Calendar stays at the center
Heldrey doesn’t try to replace Google Calendar.
Your events continue to live in Google Calendar. Heldrey adds a persistent automation layer around them, applying the rules and features you choose.
Heldrey currently focuses on Google Calendar, including automation for event colors, meeting buffers, travel time, Calendar Sync, pending invitations, and other recurring calendar behavior.
Quiet software by design
A successful Heldrey setup shouldn’t require you to open Heldrey every day.
You configure the behavior you want. Heldrey keeps applying it in the background. When you do return, you can see what happened, why it happened, and anything that requires your attention.
That’s the product we’re building:
Your calendar. Your rules.
