Assistants can set up and explain Heldrey for you through the Model Context Protocol. They use the same rules, preview, limits, and audit trail you do. Nothing an assistant sets up runs “by AI”: once a rule is on, Heldrey applies it the same way every time.
What you need
- A Heldrey account.
- Google Calendar connected, or let the assistant walk you through connecting it.
- A client that supports remote MCP servers: Claude on the web and Claude Desktop, ChatGPT in developer mode, or any client that meets the other-client requirements.
What you can do from a conversation
- Ask whether Heldrey can automate a wish, before you connect.
- Set up a custom rule. You turn it on in Heldrey.
- Switch Invite Hold, Travel Time, or Calendar Sync after you confirm.
- Ask why Heldrey did something, and handle Needs attention items the assistant is allowed to finish.
- Preview and confirm an undo.
- See your plan and start an upgrade that finishes on a Heldrey page.
What an assistant never does
It cannot switch a custom rule on. It cannot move, cancel, or reply to an event, or contact an attendee. It never sees billing details. Preview never writes. No AI runs when a rule executes. Calendar text is data, never instructions.
What an assistant never does is the full list.
