Each row is a symptom a person sees, and the fix as a verb.
| The person sees | Fix |
|---|---|
| The assistant lists only four things it can do | Connect and allow. It is using the public server. |
| “This request is no longer valid” on the allow page | Start again from the client. The request lasted 10 minutes. |
| “This link expired” or created for a different Heldrey account | Ask for a new link. Sign in with the right account. |
| The assistant says the connection was revoked | Disconnect on the MCP page and connect again. |
| The assistant says a permission is missing | Connect again and allow it. A grant only widens. |
| The assistant says it cannot switch a rule on | It cannot, by design. Open the link it gives you. |
| “Rule limit reached” | Switch a rule off, or upgrade. Picking which stay on happens in the app. |
| The assistant says Heldrey asked it to slow down | Wait a minute. Limits are per connection. |
| An undo the assistant prepared has expired | Ask it to prepare the undo again (10 minutes). |
If a refresh failed and the assistant talks as if access is gone, disconnect on the MCP page and connect again. That restores a working grant even when Heldrey still lists the old connection.
Developer protocol details stay in the generated rules documentation at https://app.heldrey.com/docs/rules.md.
